Quite simply I prefer to list my website packages and display my prices clearly, so that my customers can choose a package that suits their budget.
I often get asked why my packages are cheap compared to other companies. This is often due to the fact I have invested heavily in my hosting and software and also being a Nettl Business Partner gives me the chance to offer more competitive rates. I also keep my overheads low and this means I don't need to charge my customers as much as other companies do.
Typically I build my websites within 2 weeks of a deposit being paid. This can vary depending on how quickly the information arrives with me. For example I have met clients on a Monday and then launched their websites on the Friday of that week. I have also had clients who needed more time to gather text and photos, so this can mean a built time of a month or so. The project can move at your own pace to ensure you are happy with the final website.
Yes. I am happy to meet in Framlingham, at a convenient location or at your home/business premises. I also offer Zoom calls or phone chats for those who are a long distance away from Suffolk.
My business is based at The Technology Center in Framlingham, Suffolk. I live in Wenhaston, which is near Halesworth in Suffolk. I often meet customers throughout the Suffolk and Norfolk area and as you can see from my portfolio I have also built websites for many businesses across the UK as well.
I don't offer a payment plan as such, but your total website cost is split into 2 payment. When booking you pay a deposit which is for 50% of the total cost of your website. Then final 50% fee isn't due until your website is finished, signed off by you and it is live and online.
When you book a website you pay a deposit for 50% of the total website cost. That deposit invoice contains in writing everything included in the package and everything discussed before you booked in (such as any agreed timescale or features the website will have). This deposit is refundable within 30 days of it being paid to me if for any reason you are unhappy with things.
Yes. I work with a local photographer (for projects that require that service) and I have a really good stock library website as well, which is www.123rf.com. I have an account with 123rf, so all photographs you choose from their site are licensed to use on your website. If you have your own photos I can of course use these too, even if they have been taken from your phone as often those are good enough quality for the web.
This is something I can certainly help you with. Quite often my customers draft some text and send that over and I will then re-write things as necessary. For bigger websites which have more content (and need a lot more SEO) I do work with a copywriter who can write all of your text, but this does involve costs and they would quote for each project individually as everyones needs are different.
I will guide you through every stage of the web design process. From an initial meeting or chat, to buying a domain name, planning your text, sourcing photos, designing pages and launching the finished website. Even then the support doesn't stop because we can talk about any updates or changes needed and look at how the website is performing too.
Yes, every website I build is fully tested and adjusted for computers, tablets and phones. This is actually vital as the majority of website users are now accessing sites on their mobile phones.
I work alone and I build and look after every website that I sell. This allows me to keep my overheads down and my costs competitive and it means you will work with me on your website from start to finish.
This is a question I often get asked and I understand completely why this may be a concern. Firstly I have been trading in my current format since 2018 (and previously I ran another design/print business for over 14 years), so I have been around several years now and I am quite well established. You may have also seen from my website that I am a Nettl Business Partner, which gives added piece of mind. If for any reason I decided to stop running my business or something happened to me, another Nettl Business Partner would effectively just take over my account and all of my website and services would just move over to them. But I don't plan on going anywhere soon!
I often take over existing websites when other web design companies no longer trade or the customer is unhappy with their current service or costs. In some cases I will just transfer the website straight over to my hosting and in other cases I would recommend rebuilding/upgrading the website over to my software and hosting platform. I can always look at your current setup and then make my recommendations to you. I will always help you to keep costs down and I offer fair and impartial advice.
There are some simple steps that will ensure the process is very straightforward and easy for you:
1) I will chat to you about your business and the things you want to achieve from your website.
2) We will look at your logo and any marketing you are currently doing, to ensure the website matches your branding.
3) Together we start planning your website beginning with the homepage and we will discuss the text and photos required.
4) I will then design a homepage and proof that back to you for your thoughts and we can change anything as needed.
5) Once you are happy with the homepage design I will then work on the other pages, one page at a time.
6) The final stage is when you are 100% happy with everything your new website goes live.
Every website I build on every package has SEO included on all pages. This means that your website will come up on Google for relevant searches and this is something we plan and monitor together as part of the web design process.
Yes, I look after well over 100 websites currently. For my Starter Package updates are charged at £10 per update, the Business Package has up to 15 minutes a month of free support and the Business Plus Package has up to 30 minutes a month of free support.
Quite a few of my customers maintain and update their own websites and this is actually very straightforward to do. Once your website has gone live I will record a help video which covers how to access your website and how to do updates. If you find you want to learn how to do more, I can do additional videos which will show you how to manage pretty much all aspects of your website. If you can use Microsoft Word, then you can update the websites I build basically.
You can add as many pages to your website as you like, there is no limit. If you are managing your own website, you can add pages without any cost. If I am managing your website for you there is a charge of £50 per page (which covers my time to create the page and do the necessary SEO on it for you so that Google finds your new page).
Yes I do build e-commerce websites. For this service I use Shopify, as personally I feel this is the best e-commerce platform on the market. I can offer a free quote for your Shopify store design and setup and this includes a tutorial video on how to manage and update your store going forwards.
